The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a program by which adults are able to become members of the Catholic Community. The usual starting date for this is after Pentecost and the preparation, depending upon the Candidate, often culminates in the reception of the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil.
